We are thrilled that you are checking out our new website. Since 2008, we have been performing together across Ontario. These photos show some highlights of our history together, photos of some recitals, Kaili’s first car that she bought specifically so it would fit Angela’s harp, to the first time both Kaili and Angela performed with the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, and back to our very first duo photo that we took by the University of Toronto music faculty.
Angela and Kaili began playing as a duet in 2008 during their studies at the University of Toronto. They officially formed their duo in 2010 and have been performing throughout Ontario ever since. Kaili and Angela bring to The Topaz Duo a commitment to a high, professional level of musical interpretation, and a varied repertoire. They are currently curating repertoire by living composers, focusing on bring new interpretations to underrepresented works and commission new works for the flute and harp canon with an empathize on Canadian content.
